Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. On the positive side, my room was away from the noise and felt quiet, the staff was friendly and supportive, and the location was amazing with easy access to key attractions. However, the service was a bit slow in responding to requests, and the noise from the live music at night was bothersome.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms, although a bit run down, were clean and offered a decent stay not unlike a lower-end hotel in the US. Breakfast was just okay, and the coffee was terrible. On the bright side, the room was ready way before check-in time, which was a pleasant surprise, but the lack of natural light was disappointing. The heating in the rooms was ineffective, leaving me quite cold during my stay.
The hotel's location is unbeatable, right under the arch in the heart of Antigua, making it convenient for exploring the town, but noise from the nearby restaurant and church bells might disturb your rest. The room we were allocated was quite comfortable, but the strong smell of toilet deodorizer was off-putting. The service was outstanding, with friendly and accommodating staff who went above and beyond to assist us in challenging situations. However, the dining options need improvement, and the facilities could be more clearly defined.
